Sunderland-based, global voice alarm and safety communications specialist Vox Ignis has opened the doors of its new £0.5m HQ at the North East Business & Innovation Centre (BIC) after receiving a £75,054 grant through the Business Growth Fund.

The family-run TWR Group, which supplies commercial customers across the UK, has relocated its entire operation to a new 65,000sq ft facility on Commercial Road, Hendon. With support from UMi, the business secured a £50,000 grant towards the refurbishments through the Business Growth Fund. 

Offshore wind engineering company, Osbit Ltd, has opened a major new Assembly and and Service Facility in the UK at the Port of Blyth, helping to generate 33 skilled jobs for the region and marking significant investment in the North East’s clean energy economy. 

Clifton Engineering, a long-established precision engineering and polyurethane moulding company based in Morpeth, Northumberland, has secured a £174,000 grant from the Business Growth Fund. This funding will support the company’s ambitious expansion plans, enabling it to enhance its polyurethane moulding capacity and invest in new CNC machines and cutting-edge technology.
